Our test lab in IMREDD Smart City Nice Côte d’Azur

A test and research lab in the Nice smart city

ChargeAngels runs a test and research laboratory at IMREDD, the Mediterranean Institute for Risk, Environment and Sustainable Development of Université Côte d’Azur, in the Nice Méridia technopole.

IMREDD hosts the Smart City Innovation Center, a technology platform where energy, mobility and city data meet: a place to experiment, train and demonstrate the smart city of the future. Our lab sits right inside it.

On the same bench, real chargers, measurement equipment and the ChargeAngels platform work together. We use it to run OCPP compliance checks and electronics quality tests, to try out smart charging strategies (power limitation according to departure time and SOC, peak shaving, day-ahead price optimization), and to study how chargers, buildings, batteries and solar panels behave together on a smart grid.
